Freddie Junior Wooten, age 64, of Tuscumbia, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024. Visitation will be Sunday, January 14, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will be Monday, at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Jeremy Goss officiating, and his remains will lie in repose for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.
Mr. Wooten was born on February 2, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late James and Mary McBride Wooten. In addition to his parents, a brother, James E. Wooten, precedes him in death.
Survivors include children, Edward Wooten and Terra Wooten; grandchildren, Ellie Wooten, Madeline Wooten, and Kohen Frye; siblings, Linda Poole, Ellen Lawrence, Glory Michael, Charlene Davis, Darlene Wooten, April Mitchell; and the mother of his children, Gloria Wooten.
Pallbearers will be Van Bates, Cole Perry, Tylar McMurry, Edward Wooten, Paul Michael, Jimmy Darling, and Billy Smallwood. Steve Baskins will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
