Freddie Joe Welch was born to the late Reverend Henry and Mrs. Shadye Welch of Henderson Tennessee. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Bruce Henry Welch. Freddie was educated in the Chester County school system. After graduation, he dutifully entered the work force and made a living until his health no longer allowed him to do so.
He accepted Christ during his early young adulthood and later rededicated himself to the Lord where he worshipped with the Oak Grove Church of Christ in Henderson, Tennessee and the East Jackson Church of Christ in Jackson, Tennessee as often as his health would allow.
He loved to sing and dream big. Those who knew him could always expect to hear a melodious tune or two and all about his philosophy on life. He was willing and eager to share with anyone willing to listen and offer feedback.
Freddie is survived by two daughters: Bianca Welch and Shatonya Hale (Robert) both of Henderson, Tennessee; two grandchildren: Shakira and Michael; four siblings: Annie Trice (Jimmie) of Cordova, Tennessee, Mae Thaxton of Louisville, Kentucky, Betty Clifford (Bobby) of Henderson, Tennessee and Clark Kent Welch (Sandra) of Germantown, Tennessee. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, as well as extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.
