Fred Walden Leath, Jr., 73, of Fort Payne, passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2020. He was born March 2, 1946 in Tennessee to the late Fred W. Leath Sr. and Purl Malone Leath. Mr. Leath was a retired General Contractor from Fred. W. Leath Associates, Inc. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being outdoors sitting in the sunshine. He was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Wilson Funeral Home with burial following in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 4 until 7 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Lynda Gibbs Leath; children, Fred W. Leath III and wife, Beckie, Monica M. Brown and husband, Jeff, Deborah L. Blevins and husband, Joseph, Donna Milner and husband, Russell, Jennifer Brown and David Brown; grandchildren, Macy, Connor, Eric, Madison, Cody, Natalie, Zach, Kendra, Tyler, Tiffany, Nick, Thaddaeus, David Matthew, Elizabeth, and Leevi; great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Easton, Sawyer, Kali, Ryker, Ruger, Sawyer, and Devin.
