Fred Vincent – Obituary

Funeral service for Fred Vincent, 88, of Eva will be Sunday, November 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Rock Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Tony Tidwell and Reverend Jeff Allred officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Oden Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.

Mr. Vincent died on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was born July 16, 1925, in Morgan County to Leldon D. Vincent and Gracie Mae Patton. He was retired from Nicholson File in Cullman. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army and was a wholesale distributor of Health and Beauty Aides. Mr. Vincent was a minister and pastored at Oden Ridge Baptist Church, Rock Creek Baptist Church and Mount Carmel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Freda Vincent; one son, Joel Vincent (Becky) of Winchester, Ky.; and three grandchildren, Brendan Vincent of Durham, N.C., Alyson Hill (Rob) and Caitlyn Vincent, both of Winchester, Ky.

Pallbearers will be Elton Shaddix, Stanley Hall, Jason Smith, Matt Latham, Dereck Coffman, Jerald Patton, Mike Corley and Tony Moses.
