Fred Doil Bevis, a dedicated individual who served his community with unwavering commitment, has peacefully passed away at the age of 82. Born in Lutts, Tennessee, on April 25, 1941, Fred’s journey was marked by a profound sense of duty and compassion.
Fred’s career at the City of Florence Fire Department was not just a job but a calling. He selflessly devoted his time and energy to ensuring the safety and well-being of others. His impact on the department and the lives he touched will be remembered for years to come.
Outside of his professional duties, Fred found joy in the simple things – spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and making memories that will be cherished forever. His kind heart and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Fred is survived by his sons, Keith Bevis and Kirtis Bevis, who will continue to carry his legacy forward. He is also survived by his brothers, James Bevis and Jimmy Bevis, along with his sister-in-law Sue Bevis. In addition, he leaves behind grandchildren Anna Bevis and Shelby Bevis to whom he imparted his wisdom and love.
Fred now reunites with his beloved parents, Doil and Gertie Bevis, as well as his brothers Arlon Bevis and Lawrence Bevis in eternal peace. The memories created and the values instilled by Fred will continue to resonate through the generations.
A graveside service to honor Fred will be held March 27th, at 2:00pm at Balentine Cemetery in Lutts, Tennessee.
