Fred Clemmons , age 80, of Florence passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, July 5, 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Spry~Williams Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will be Saturday, July 6, 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Campbell and Bro. Tim Grigsby officiating. Interment will be at North Carolina Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Clemmons, Jason White, Tim Canerday, Steven Vinson, Brad Potts, Mickey Price, Jim Dowdy and Danny Canerday. The men at Bethel Berry Church of Christ will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mr. Clemmons was a member of Bethel Berry Church of Christ and life long minister of the Church of Christ. He was retired from Florence Housing Authority and was also an avid baseball and softball fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgie and Annie Clemmons; son, Ronald Steven Clemmons; daughter, Wanda Gail Holden; brothers, John Curtis and Harold Leo Clemmons. Survivors include: Loving Wife of 61 years: Dorothy Clemmons of Florence Son: Travis L. Clemmons (Carolyn) of Florence Seven Grandchildren Five Great Grandchildren His loyal Pomeranian companion, Blondie In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Florence Municipal Credit Union for Williams Clemmons Fund.
