Franklin Junior “Frank” Jones, age 80, of Tuscumbia, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Gary Puryear will officiate.
Frank was a member of the Cox Boulevard Church of Christ, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an expert custom home builder for 50 plus years, and built numerous homes in the shoals area. Frank was, also, an avid fan of Alabama football.
Preceding Mr. Jones in death are his parents, Luther Percy Jones and Lena Belle Hester Jones; brothers, Robert, Melvin and Chester Jones; sisters, Florence Smith, Erma Poe, Sue Dennis, and Bonnie Holt.
Survivors include his devoted and loving wife of 29 years, Susan Jones; daughters, Rhonda McFarling (Curtis), Fran Young (Kevin), and Mona Melton (Mike); step-son, E.J. Baker; step-daughter, Juliann Riley (Stan); grandchildren, Matt, Mitchell, Jason and Jeremy McFarling, Ty and Tory Melton, Haley and Molly Young, Emma, Rachel, and Harrison Riley, Tyler and Klohe Baker; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
