Franklin “Frankie” Morris, age 66 of Sewanee, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at his residence. A native of Frankin County, he was born on December 27, 1957, in Winchester. Frankie retired from Sewanee Police Department after forty years of employment as a dispatcher. During his career, he grew special bonds with the police and fire department, as well as the EMT department. An avid outdoorsman, he loved being in the great outdoors hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a great sense of humor and was quick-witted. A great listener, as well as a wonderful storyteller, Frankie will be remembered for his loving and generous nature. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally (Payne) Morris; and sister, Margaret Morris. Frankie is survived by his father, Howard Morris; daughters, Megan Briana Sparacio, and Lindsay Erin Morris; grandchildren, Kyla Kilgore, Kamden Kilgore, Cashel Sparacio, and Bodi Sparacio; siblings, William (Tina) Morris, and Melvin Morris; nephew who was like a son, Quentin Morris; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 1-4pm on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 4:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home.
