Franklin D. Woodard, 84, of Falkville passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at Parkway Medical Center in Decatur. Mr. Woodard was born Feb. 1, 1933 to Vester C. and Flora Wade Woodard. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Josh Stephen Woodard; four sisters and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice Mae Woodard; two sons, Channing Woodard (Amanda) and Brent Woodard (Stefanie); two sisters, Jane Lewis (James) and Doris Knight; one brother, Verlon Woodard; five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 at Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Brother Brian Hawkins officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association. Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family.
