Mr. Frank William Murphree Mr. Frank William Murphree of Joppa, Alabama; passed away surrounded by his family on the night of Wednesday – February 2, 2022 at the age of 92 years.
Mr. Murphree was born on August 11, 1929 in Blount County, Alabama to Claude William Murphree and Bessie Rosetta Cason Murphree. Mr. Murphree in his earlier years drove trucks for Ferrell Gas Company. Frank had an array of hobbies such as; lawn work, woodworking and building bird boxes, watching any kind of football but especially Alabama football as well as traveling, his favorite destination was the Smokey Mountains. Mr. Murphree was a member of the Bonds Chapel Holiness Church.
Mr. Murphree leaves his legacy behind to his daughters, Donna M. Moon and Vicky Yarbrough (Ethan); brother, Bill Murphree (Linda), grandchildren, Leesa Hayes (Chris), Clint Murphree (Jessica) and Andrew Yarbrough; great grandchildren, Alex Hayes, Chloe Hayes and Ky Murphree.
In addition to his parents; Claude William Murphree and Bessie Rosetta Cason Murphree, Mr. Murphree is at last reunited with his beloved wife Viola Rosetta McGill-Murphree; son, Franky Lynn Murphree (Dale Causey Murphree); brothers, Alvin Murphree, Bobby Murphree and Burnice Murphree; sisters, Joy Belle Harris and Jeanette Wilson.
A visitation will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Saturday – February 5, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral service will take place at the Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Sunday – February 6, 2022 at 2:00 p.m.
Interment is to follow services immediately at the New Home Cemetery in Holly Pond, Alabama
Pallbearers escorting Mr. Murphree to his final resting place will be: Roger Murphree, Alan Murphree, Stanley Murphree, Scott Murphree, David Warren and Donny Joe Murphree.
