FrankFrank Roach Sr. was born October 2, 1926, to the late Jim Roach and Melessie Jones. God called him home on Saturday morning, March 23, at his home. His son, Jacob Roach, also precedes him in death. He was the oldest of three children. He received Christ as his Savior at an early age. He chose to further his knowledge of God’s word by attending the Baptist Bible College in Birmingham, Ala.

He was married to the late Cyntonie McDaniel Roach for 42 years. To this union, six children were born.

There was almost no place anyone could go in the Quad Cities area without, at some point, running into Pastor Roach. He was such a gregarious and authentic person. He was the oldest member and served longer than any of the other ministers of the Muscle Shoals District Missionary Baptist Association.

He is survived by sons, Rev. Frank (Lee) Roach Jr., Florence Ala., Rev. Ronald (Lela) Roach; daughters, Minister Rosetta (Rufus) Harris, Janice R. Gilchrist and Valarie Davis, all of Muscle Shoals, Ala.; two sisters, Sarah Williams and Bell Fuqua, both of Lima, Ohio; two sisters-in-law, Nancy (Emmite) Doxie, Saginaw, Mich., Nazola (John) Morgan, Jacksonville, Fla., Phyllis McDaniel, Florence, Ala.; three brothers-in-law, Harold (Barbara) McDaniel, Florence, Ala., Samuel McDaniel, William (Emma) McDaniel, both of Saginaw, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren; also many beloved nieces; nephews; and other family members and friends.
