Mr. Frank “Pop” Ferge, age 86 of Somerville, died Sunday morning May 17, 2015 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born in Hardeman Co., TN to the late Herbert Lofton and Laura Mae Ashmore on January 6, 1929. He was a retired Truck Driver for Rhea Oil Company in 1991, then he went to work for Family Logging until 2007. He loved working in the garden, and working with the mules. He loved his family and his grandchildren. He was a resident of both Hardeman and Fayette Counties.
He is survived by his two sons Fernon Ray Ferge and Jeffery Ferge, both of Somerville, TN; his two daughters, Rebecca Wilson of Whiteville, TN, and Mildred Shoemaker of Stantonville, TN; and a brother, William “Billy” Franklin Ferge of Atoke, TN.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and his sisters, Nell Frasier, Wille Mae Hayes, Evelyn Dowdy and Thelma Jean Watkins.
The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
