Bro. Frank Mac Evans Brother Frank Mac Evans, age 95, of Smyrna, formerly of Springfield, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Adam’s Place Rehabilitation Center in Murfreesboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 2pm Friday, February 28th at Rock Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Randy Harmon, Bro. Robert Tyson and Bro. H. D. Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Springfield Memorial Gardens with the Deacons of Rock Springs Baptist serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 4-7pm Thursday at the Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield, and again from 12-2pm Friday at the church.

Brother Evans was born March 22, 1929, in Detroit, MI, to the late Sion Everette Evans, and the late Cora Corinne McMillen Evans. He spent his life sharing the gospel having Pastored at Oakland Baptist, Flintville Baptist, and Bethel Baptist churches. Bro. Frank then served as the Director of Missions with the Robertson County Baptist Association until his retirement. Following his retirement he continued to answer the call to ministry and went on to Pastor at Rock Springs Baptist for 17 years.

In addition to his parents, Bro. Evans was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Frances Prince Evans; son, David Evans; brother, Robert Carlton Evans; and sisters, Ruby Allenne Davis, and Betty Frances Evans.

He is survived by his son, Daniel Robert “Danny” Evans and his wife Cara; 3 grandchildren, Shelby Evans, Ben Evans and his wife Kelsea, and Alyssa Evans; 2 great grandchildren, Emerson Evans and Pippa Evans; and a half brother, Charles Everette Evans.

Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Springfield is in charge of these arrangements.
