Frank Lee Trussell – Obituary

frankFrank Lee Trussell, 83, of Florence, passed away July 8, 2015 at Shoals Hospital. He was a member of North Wood United Methodist Church, Shoals Artist Guild, and a retired Chief Quartermaster of the U.S. Navy.

Frank loved his family, his friends, his country, and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He never met a stranger and always had a sea story to share. Although his body aged, his sense of humor and mischievous nature never did. Frank loved all of God’s creations and expressed this love in his artwork.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 from 1 – 2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Scott Coats officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park.

Mr. Trussell was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Iona Trussell; son, Michael David Trussell; parents, Lawson Edgar “Jack” Trussell and Willie Verona “Mama Bill” Hills Trussell; sisters, Clara Goff, Lucille Bartley, Velma “Jeep” Hanks; brothers, Lawson Trussell, Jr., Jerald “Jack” Trussell, David “Honey” Trussell.

He is survived by his sons, Pat Trussell (Susie) of Huntsville, Tim Trussell (Betty) of Muscle Shoals,; daughter, Leah Howard (Robbie) of Florence; brother-in-law, Gerald Hanks of Mobile, AL; sister, Grace Waldrep (Alton) of Summerdale, AL; sister-in-law, Sandra Trussell of Pascagoula, MS; grandchildren, Timothy Devin Trussell of Muscle Shoals, Samantha Trussell of Muscle Shoals, and Levi Howard of Florence; and his beloved pet, Bella.

Active pallbearers will be Gerald Hanks, Carl Pigorsch, David Ellis, Pat Trussell, Tim Trussell, and Robbie Howard.

Honorary pallbearers will be Devin Trussell, and Levi Howard.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Wood United Methodist Church Children’s Ministry
