Frank Hollis and Rita Ann Tolbert Privett

Frank Hollis Privett, 71 and Rita Ann Tolbert Privett, 63, of Addison, Alabama entered into rest on Tuesday, December 24, 2019.

Mr. Privett was born April 10, 1948. He attended Addison High School and Wallace State Community College. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1966-1978. Frank will forever be remembered as a hard working man who wore overalls and a long beard.

Mrs. Privett was born February 22, 1956. She graduated from West Point High School and St. Bernard College and earned a Masters Degree in Education from UAB. She taught at Jones Chapel Jr. High and Logan Jr. High until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, both vegetable and flowers, cleaning, reading, journaling and studying the Bible. Rita was a caregiver with an infectious laugh and smile.

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 28, 2019 2pm-4pm at Nichols Funeral Home in Addison with service to follow at 4pm.

Frank is survived by his son, Allen Hollis Privett; daughter, Vanessa (Scotty) Cornelius; sisters, Betty (Roy) Patterson and Gail (Gene) Langley; he was PawPaw to two grandchildren, Hannah Cornelius and her fiancé, Cody Ratliff and Zachary (Brenda Ann) Cornelius; a host of other family, friends and his four legged daughter, Daisy.

Rita is survived by her son, Allen Hollis Privett; daughter, Vanessa (Scotty) Cornelius; brother, Ralph Tolbert; sisters, Sharron Hanes and Linda Marquette; she was Nana Rita to two grandchildren, Hannah Cornelius and her fiancé, Cody Ratliff and Zachary (Brenda Ann) Cornelius; and a host of other family and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Allen Ferguson Privett and Vivian Enna Jackson Privett and his brother, Ellwyn Privett.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey Wayne Tolbert and Myrtle Marie Eddy Tolbert and brothers-in-law, Tim Hanes and John Marquette.
