Frank Allen Ogle Frank Allen Ogle, 74, husband, father, PawPaw, brother, and friend to all passed away peacefully at home on August 29th. Mr. Ogle was surrounded by his beloved wife of 53 years, Kathy Mefford Ogle and his only child, daughter, Stacey Ogle Courson (Victor).   Frank is also survived by his two granddaughters, Jewel Marie Courson and Sophie Arwyn Courson; siblings: Barbara Ogle Smith (Reid), Mike Ogle( Doris), and Tom Ogle; sisters-in-law, Diane Jones and Jerri Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Walker Breski and John Leo Ogle; brothers, Pat Ogle and Johnny Ogle; and sister Regina Smith.

A native Huntsvillian, Frank was born on July 9, 1949. He retired from Huntsville, Fire and Rescue after 25 years service as a Driver Engineer. On January 30, 1970, Frank married his high school sweetheart Kathy Mefford. They welcomed their only child, Stacey, in 1974.

Frank enjoyed many hobbies throughout his lifetime. These included photography, metal detecting, knife-making, growing daylilies, fig trees, banana trees, and raising rabbits, quail, chickens, red wigglers, and bulldogs. He was an amazing cook and a great speller. Frank was always the life of the party. He had the greenest of thumbs, and the biggest heart for those in need. His family was his most prized possession and made no qualms when it came to bragging about his granddaughters.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Visitation will be Friday, September 1st from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Berryhill Funeral Home.  Chapel service will be Saturday, September 2nd at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mylon Metcalf officiating, followed by burial in Maple Hill Cemetery.
