Francis “Frank” Lawrence Chupka

Francis “Frank” Lawrence Chupka passed away on January 24, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee. Frances was born on June 5, 1940, in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Francis Chupka, Sr. and Mary Damore Chupka.

In 1962, Frank married, Eva Marie “Bonnie” Dumouchel, and together they raised three children.

Frank received his degrees in Chemistry from the University of Vermont and University of Massachusetts Amherst. When he received his MS and PHD, he worked as Toner Resin Chemist. Before retirement, he was employed at Image Polymers/ AstraZeneca as a Project Manager in Mt. Pleasant. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Frank was a founding member of the Columbia Cycling Club. He also enjoyed wood carving.

Frank is survived by his wife, Bonnie Chupka, and their three children: Kristin Marie Rosen of West Grove, PA, Nicole Frances (Chris Krough) Chupka of Austin, TX, and Michael Lawrence (Diana Miller) Chupka of Wilmington, DE. His memory lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Allison Marie Rosen, Jack Daniel Rosen, Cora Pembroke Miller, and Auden Evangelene Miller.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Casey, Ashley, and Mackenzie at Caris Hospice, as well as all the staff at the Grove at NHC-Maury Regional Transitional Care Center, for their compassionate care and comfort during Frank’s final days.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests to consider a memorial contribution in honor of Frank to a charity of your choice.

The care of Mr. Francis Lawrence Chupka and his family has been entrusted to the staff of Williams Funeral Home.
