Francie “Eddie” Davis, Jr., age 65, of Mercer, passed away Sunday morning, October 29th, at his home.
Born in Blossburg, PA, he moved to West Tennessee at a young age. His parents were the late Francis Edward Davis, Sr. and Sylvia Rene Moore Davis.
Eddie was an OTR driver who worked for Aqua-Glass for many years and, also, for Titan. On March 22, 1993, he was united in marriage to Georgia Newman, who survives. His interests included rebuilding small engines, playing the guitar and, various “fix-it” chores around his home.
In addition to his wife of 30 years, he is survived by two daughters, Lisa Michelle Davis of Bethel Springs and Angela Fitzgerald of Humboldt; one son, Joseph Edward “Joey” Davis of Martin; two sisters, Judy Alexander of Lexington and Sylvia Reynolds of Jackson; one brother, Johnny Davis of Jackson; eight grandchildren, Dalton, Madison, McKenzie and Brooklyn Davis, Sahara and Eden Fitzgerald, Ashton Chessor and Hunter Draganowski; and, six great-grandchildren, Jude and Roman Fitzgerald, Lucca and Cambri Davis, Persephone Burnette and Parker Allen Hall, Jr.
Other than his parents, Mr. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Brian Richard Davis; a sister, Christie Farrell; and, two brothers, Richard and Donald Davis.
