Frances V. Long, age 86, Haleyville, AL. passed away Friday September 7, 2012 at her home. Frances and her late husband, Edward L. “Jack” Long owned and operated several Grocery Stores in Haleyville for a number of years, she started Jacilyn Publishing Co. and Records, she wrote, taught and lived music, she attended the First United Methodist Church in Haleyville. Her visitation will be held on Sunday September 9, 2012 from 1:00PM- 2:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home-Haleyville, AL. with her service to be held at 2:00 PM in the Chapel, with Duke Martin officiating, burial to follow at Hillcrest City Cemetery. Frances is survived by Nieces and Nephews, Linda L.(Duke)Martin, Bill Guffin, Floyd E. Long Jr., James Taylor Long, James Cecil Long, Roger “Bubba” Long, Jimmy Cain, Tommy Cain, Emma Jean Roberts Palm, Marie Robertson, Charolotte Long McNutt, Nancy Crabtree Graham; Great Nephew, John Duke Martin & Family; Great Niece, Stacy Land & Family; Great Niece, Stephanie Underwood & Family. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Acie and Autie Clark Vernon; husband, Edward L. “Jack” Long; sister, Mary Catherine “Kitty” Shirley. Pallbearers; Chad Fell, John Hutto, Floyd E. Long Jr., James Taylor Long, James Cecil Long, John Duke Martin and Mark Land.
