Frances Louise Harris Smith, 85, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at the Sanctuary Hospice House. She was born January 25, 1939, in Nettleton to Jack Grady and Annie Mae Long Harris. She retired from Action Lane Industries as a seamstress after many years of service including 25 consecutive years without missing a day of work. She was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother, and sister who loved cooking, gardening, and working in her flower beds.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Bro. Rodney Lindsey officiating. Private burial will be in the Dogwood Cemetery at Farmington.
Survivors include one son, Carl Hussey of Corinth; one daughter, Patti Casabella (Scotty) of Iuka; one brother, Grady Harris of Okolona; one sister, Birdie Ann Cooley (Bill) of Mantachie; a sister-in-law, Phyllis Harris of Okolona; five grandchildren, Brian Casabella (Amanda), Ryan Casabella (Lindsey), Scott Casabella (Danielle), Skye Roussel (Matthew), and Brooke Ramsey (Austin); eight great-grandchildren, Emma, Carter, Ava, Levi, and Farrah Casabella; Eli and Oliver Roussel; and Lilly Ramsey; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl R. Hussey and John Marvin Smith; one brother, Bill Harris; one sister, Elizabeth Gaskin (Billy Ray); a sister-in-law, Martha Harris; and her parents.
Pallbearers will be Brian Casabella, Ryan Casabella, Scott Casabella, Chad Cooley, Chance Cooley, and Marty Dickinson.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home in Mantachie.
