Frances Louise Comer, 95, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Saturday, December 2, 2023, in her home. Mrs. Frances’ love of supervising people’s work made her especially handy. She could work on vehicles, help with construction, and do anything she set her mind to. She worked as a seamstress for the Iuka Shirt Factory for 35 years. Everyone that knew Mrs. Frances knew about her love of word searches, the Atlanta Braves, and game shows. Either the Price is Right, Wheel of Fortune, or a Braves game were always on at her house. Whether it was someone she knew all her life or someone she just met, Mrs. Frances loved being around people. She had a contagious smile and was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and all-around person. Mrs. Frances is survived by her children, Jerry Ray Comer (Faye) and Mary Honeycutt; her grandchildren, Robbie Comer (Jennifer), Amber Lambert (Brandon), Angie Hester (Dale), Susan Hendrix, Mickey Hendrix, Madonna Comer, and Wade Comer (Sandy); her great-grandchildren, Collin Tyler, Sara Crum, Matthew Dillard, Shawna Guthrie, Dakota Hester, Kaylee Comer, Logan Comer, Bethany Holcomb, and Hillary Jackson; a host of great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Betty Jane Seaman; her special niece, Anita Parker (Matt Chase); her beloved dog, Hoss; and her grand-dog, Skeeter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred M. Comer; her sons, A.J. and Doyle Comer; her parents, Mary and Robert Lee Adcock; her sisters, Martha Hammock, Rosa “Bludy” Adkins, Victoria Lambert, and Ruby Ramsey; her brothers, Tad, Omer, Homer, and James Adcock; and her son-in-law, Dan Honeycutt. Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Greg Woodruff. Interment will follow in Snowdown Cemetery. Pallbearers include Collin Tyler, Cody Chase, Jeremy Hardwick, Josh Thacker, Dexter Stanfield, and Joey Nix. Honorary pallbearers include Matt Chase, Brandon Lambert, Robbie Comer, and Wayne Dawson. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Frances’ honor to the March of Dimes.
