Frances Jean Neal Stringer Frances Jean Neal Stringer, 86, died peacefully on October 31, 2023, at Piedmont Health Care Center. She was born December 4, 1936, in Bruceton, TN, the daughter of Raymond and Camilla Neal.
Frances went to college at UT Martin and graduated with a business/education degree. She met her husband Francis Harlan Stringer after college in Memphis, TN. She worked in bookkeeping, and taught high school English for a time. She also kept children in her home when her husband’s career required multiple moves through the years. They celebrated 60 years of marriage on June 30, 2022. She loved her family more than anything. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved nothing more than her family, her pets, reading and being a homemaker. She loved the Lord and we have peace knowing she is healed and in Heaven. She resided in Jacksonville, AL (Williams Community) since 1983.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis Harlan Stringer (April 2023); brothers, Robert Neal and Ray Neal; and grandson, Matthew Reese. She is survived by her daughter, Jeanna (Mike) Reese; son, David Stringer; son, Michael (Sandra) Stringer; daughter, Susan (Bodie) Moore; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Kirk) George, Mallory Stringer, Morgan (Zach) Harris, Abigail Stringer, Caleb Stringer, Savannah Moore and Cheyenne Moore; great grandchildren, Emmitt Harris and Ashlyn Harris; sisters, Carolyn Noles and Judy Hurt; and brother, Jerry Neal.
A special thank you to all who took such great care of her this last year. We have been so blessed with great caregivers at Piedmont Health Care Center and Southern Care New Beacon.
The family will have a private memorial and ash spreading at a later date.
