Frances Jane Pigg Dickson, longtime owner of Royal’s Hair Fashion in Columbia, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Keith Baker and Rick Points officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest next to her sister, in Hopewell Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
A native of Maury County, Frances was the daughter of the late Willis Edgar and Nellie Jane Cummings Pigg. Frances dedicated her life to the cosmetology field, working as a talented hairdresser for many years. She was the longtime owner of Royal’s Hair Fashion, where she built a loyal clientele and lasting friendships. Her skills were further put to compassionate use as the beautician at Heritage Funeral Home, where she served with grace and dedication.
Frances was a woman of many passions. She found joy in cooking, music, dancing, and watching Shirley Temple movies with Breanna. She had a love for family gatherings, always hosting Easter Egg Hunts, Tea Parties, and Christmas morning breakfasts, filling her home with warmth and happiness. Above all, Frances cherished her family, and adored spending time with her granddaughter, Breanna. She was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Frances leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and joyful memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
She is survived by her son, Royal (Robin) Dickson, Jr. of Culleoka, TN, daughter, B.J. (Scott) Bennett of Jacksonville, FL, brother, Carl Pigg of Culleoka, TN, sister, Jean Caldwell of Biloxi, MS, granddaughter, Breanna Dickson, and very special friends, Bud Sneed of Columbia, TN, and Kay Cheek of Columbia, TN.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Eslinger, daughter, Lori Jane Stockard, brothers, Floyd Pigg, Raymond Pigg, Lewis Pigg, and sister, Faye Roundtree.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Clint Steward, Guy Odom, Mike Jones, Wayne Jones, Chris Jett, and Trevor Gilmer. Honorary pallbearers will include the staff at Heritage Funeral Home.
The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to nurses, Duston and Hope and the staff at NHC Maury Regional Transitional Care Center for their care and compassion for Frances during this difficult time.
