Frances Hodge was born September 23, 1937 in Hardeman County, TN, the daughter of the late George Truman and Mary Taylor Vaughan. She graduated high school on May 13, 1955. She was united in marriage to Ottis Lee Hodge on November 2, 1957. Mr. Hodge preceded her in death on February 29, 1992. She was an avid fan of the show Swamp People, enjoyed travel in the “Big Truck” with her son, and most of all, Frances loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Hodge departed this life on July 28, 2018 in Ramer, Tennessee at the age of 80 Years, 10 Months, 5 Days.
She is survived by her children: William Hodge (Sarah) of Adamsville, TN, Joyce Baker (Edward), Mary Foust (David), “Lee Bo” Hodge Sr. all of Ramer, TN; six grandchildren: James Lee Hodge Jr., Mary Ann Foust, Amy Lynn Fost, Blazin Hodge, David Andrew Justice, Deeanna Justice; nine great grandchildren: Kayla Hodge, Haley Hodge, Tiara Foust, Cheyenne Brooks, Jasmine Brooks, Byrson Hodge, Skyler Foust, Nick Foust, Brooklyn Hodge; three sisters: Lucille Wiggins of Bolivar, TN, Margeret Wilson of Bolivar, TN, Georgie Mills of Florence, AL; and a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Hodge was preceded in death by three brothers: Lester, Doris and James “Buddy” Vaughan.
Services will be held on August 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Selmer, Tennessee. Burial will follow in the Ebenezer Cemetery at Middleton, Tennessee. Special thanks to Tennessee Quality Hospice, Jackson and Waynesboro.
