Funeral Mass for Frances H. Keeney, age 88, of Decatur, will be Thursday, August 15, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church with her great nephew, Father Jerome Chavarria, officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 14, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home.
Mrs. Keeney, who died Saturday, August 10, 2013, at her residence, was born August 6, 1925 in Greenville, AL, to William Asa Howell and Jeanne Maureen Majors Howell.
She is survived by her husband, Joe Keeney of Decatur, two sons, Joseph Paul Keeney (Betty) of Hillsville, VA and Kevin Howell Keeney (Gracia) of Decatur, AL; two daughters, Maureen K. Chase (Ron) of Fenton, MO and Erin Frances Birchmeier (Rob) of Decatur, AL; her sister, Betty Ann Howell of Sacremento, CA,; 6 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to St. Jude Childrens hospital.
