A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

Ms. McKinney was born in Akrom, OH, on September 6, 1937, to the late Robert and Ethel Burchett Stuart.  She was the last of nine children.  Ms. McKinney received her education from the Akrom Public School System in OH.  She was a well-known cake decorator and valued employee of Fed Ex as a security guard until she was 79.

A Christian, Ms. McKinney will be remembered for her love of baking, making ceramics, her strong-willed personality, and being a very independent woman.  Her favorite past times include, line dancing, country music and decorating for Christmas, getting ready for the whole family to come over.  She will be missed by all that knew and loved her, including those that called her “Granny”.

Those left to cherish her memories include two daughters, Denita Brock, Delores Kramer, four grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

New Albany Funeral and Cremation Care invites you to share memories with the McKinney family.
