Frances Delories Sisk, age 85, a resident of Columbia, passed away Wednesday morning, November 1, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at 1PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in Swanson Cemetery in Chapel Hill. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 3, 2017 from 4-8PM and again on Saturday from 12-1PM at the funeral home. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Born on September 24, 1932 in Marshall County, Delories was the daughter of the late William Thomas Farlow and the late Ella Mai Cole Farlow. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. Delories previously worked as a manager at Woolworths and most recently a waitress at Stan’s Restaurant for fifteen years before retiring. She was a great cook who loved spending time with her family and taking care of her grandchildren. Delories enjoyed visiting Gatlinburg with her husband. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children: Danny (Denise) Sisk of Columbia, Wanda Glass (Stanley Smith) of Mt. Pleasant, Sandra (Dwayne) Mitchell of Columbia; sisters: Myrtle Ring of Pottsville, Linda Duncan of Lakeland, FL; ten grandchildren: Dana (Donovan Shia) Sisk, Diana (Mark) Hurt, Brandy (Ron) Rochelle, Kena Mae Sisk, Tina (Erik) Krusell, Anna (Jeremy) Grooms, William Mitchell, Homer Glass, Randy Mitchell, and Kate Sisk; twenty two great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Tom Sisk; son: Kenneth Sisk; granddaughter: Jessica Rae Sisk Chacon; sisters: Mildred Vincion, Rebecca Miller, Lucille Blocker, Kitty Bertrang, Polly Purviance; and brothers: John, Charles, and Alvin Farlow.
Pallbearers will be: Aaron Rochelle, Blake Rochelle, Homer Glass, William Mitchell, Stanley Smith, and Tyler Glass.
Honorary pallbearers will include: Dr. Doug Kennedy. Dr. Iranmanesh, Kenny & Debbie Green, and the former employees of Stan’s Restaurant.
