Phelps-Frances250Funeral services for Frances Delia Phelps, age 80 of Fayetteville, will be conducted Sunday June 7, 2015 at 1 PM at Higgins Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Wayne McGee officiating. Burial will follow in Booneville Cemetery beside her husband Edward “Bud” Phelps. Mrs. Phelps passed away Friday June 5, 2015 at her daughter’s residence.

She was a native of Lincoln County and the daughter of the late John Thomas and Brunie Burnes Eslick. Mrs. Phelps was a former hostess for Shoney’s Restaurant and a member of the Prosperity A.R.P. Church.

Survivors include a daughter Rita Faye Norwood and husband Roger of Fayetteville, son Edward Thomas (Eddie) Phelps and wife Pam of Huntsville, AL, sisters Martha Faulkner and Shirley Creson both of Fayetteville, brother Frank Eslick of Fayetteville, sister-in-law Faye Eslick, grandsons Joshua Austin Pettie, Justin Edward Pettie, Robert Shad Posey, Matthew Spencer Phelps, six great-grandchildren, step-granddaughter Jessica Norwood Love and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother John B. Eslick.

Visitation with the family will be Sunday June 7, 2015 from 11am-1 pm at Higgins Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
