Frances Croft Coleman Prisock, age 95, passed away March 15, 2025 at The Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. She was born to Burry and Bessie Coleman on January 31st, 1930 at their home in Sturgis, MS.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 3 sisters and 2 great grandsons.
Frances graduated from Sturgis High School and married George Will Prisock on March 4th, 1950. Together they had 4 children, Dianna (Carroll) McBay, Debra (Woody) Wood, Buddy (Gina) Prisock and Beverly (Kent) Hunt. She had many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
Frances was a life-long home maker and a self-taught seamstress. She turned her sewing skills into a small business. She was so good she would make dresses and uniforms for the girls at Mississippi State University. In later years she would sit with home bound patients. She loved working in her garden in order to fill her freezer for her family. She also loved collecting recipes, cutting the grass, square dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. But most of all, she loved doing anything with her 3 sisters. She was a life-long member of Adaton Baptist Church.
Services will be Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Adaton Baptist Church. Visitation will be at 12:00 Noon and the service at 1:00 pm. Burial will be immediately following at Craig Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Parker Prisock, Presly Prisock, Randle Prisock, Clayton Wood, Gaylon Seawright, and Donald Huffman.
