Frances Charlene Pounders “Charlene Palmer Pounders” age 78 of Owens Crossroads passed away on April 25, 2017.
She is survived by one daughter R. Leigh Martin; one son Richard L. Pounders III; two sisters Wilma Rowe, Regenia Reece; one brother Jerry Palmer, four grandchildren Ryan Pounders, Jessica Pounders, Conner Martin, Alyssa (the best) Martin, and a host of other family and friends.
Mrs. Pounders was preceded in death by her beloved husband R.L. Pounders and her loving parents Henry and Molly Palmer and sister-in-law Judy Palmer.
She was a native of Rienzi MS, and a resident of Madison County, AL, since 1999. She was a member of Cove United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed golf and spending time with family. She never met a stranger and had a way of making all feel special.
Visitation is Thurs. April 27, 2017, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.at Berryhill Funeral Home. Funeral service Friday, April 28, 2017, 11:00 a.m. at Berryhill Funeral Home with Rev. John Tanner officiating. Burial is at Hampton Cove Cemetery.
