Born on February 23, 1929, Frances Bonnell Allen went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 7, 2021. Frances was born on Red Bud Road in Golden, MS. She devoted her life to serving Jesus Christ and worked in numerous positions within the Church of God of Prophecy beginning in 1951. Frances worked for the church ranging from youth secretary to camp director and in various offices from youth ministries to camp director and Sunday School director. Her work took her from Mississippi to North Carolina, Georgia to Texas, Florida and Alabama and finally settled in Cleveland, TN in 1971. Frances retired in 1995 and moved back to Red Bud Road to be a good member at the Church of God of Prophecy at Chapel Hill. Her testimony is “I have kept the faith.” Frances was never married but was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews and was loved by each.
Services will be Wednesday, November 10, 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel, Belmont, MS with Bishop Duke Stone, Bishop Wayne Hall, Bro. Charlie Summerford and Bro. Billy West officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Golden, MS. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by two sisters – Lera Mae Allen Howell Rogers and Johnnie Faye Allen Hollingsworth and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernon Algene Allen and Ida Mae Clement Allen Fuller.
Pallbearers will be Michael Howell, Allen Hollingsworth, Ken Patterson, Jason Howell, Lee Johnson and Brooks Italiano. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny Mac Howell, Tucker Italiano, Ricky Roberts, Guy Italiano III, Jody Patterson, Eric Roberts, Matthew Hollingsworth, Easton Underwood, Titus Stamper, Asa Stamper, Cory Willis, Chad Gober, C.J. Howell, Mike Stamper, Joel Hargett, Allen Howell and Mac Johnson.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 10, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS.
