FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a press release concerning the arrest of a Florence man who has been accused of stabbing a woman in the back:
“Officers responded to 500 block of S Richards Street Wednesday night, December 21 at approximately 7:30 to an assault call.
Officers made contact with a male and female at the residence. The female had been stabbed in the back. The female was transported to the North Alabama Medical Center where she was treated and later released.
After an investigation was conducted the male, Gary L Vinson of Florence, was arrested for Assault 2nd Degree. Two warrants were also served. Vinson is being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $5100.00 bond.
