Fort Payne Teen Dies In Single-Vehicle Accident

FORT PAYNE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Fort Payne 15-year-old:

“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 7 a.m. Thursday, October 24, has claimed the life of a Fort Payne juvenile.

The 15-year-old was fatally injured when the 2014 Toyota Tacoma the teen was driving left the roadway, struck several trees, a large boulder and then entered a pond.

On Friday, October 25, the Toyota and the teen were both located submerged in the pond. The teen was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Dekalb County 485, approximately three miles north of Fort Payne, in Dekalb County.

Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
