Former Church Pastor Accused Of Sexual Abuse

FLORENCE-William Staggs, 49 of Florence has been charged with Sexual Abuse.  Staggs was accused by a Florence woman who claimed Staggs, a local minister had assaulted her according to court records. Staggs was also charged with a Sexual Misconduct charge on another separate occasion was also reported in court records.

Staggs was arrested on these  charges stemming from the incident that occurred in March of 2023.  Staggs was arrested on October 11. The woman contact authorities and report the incidents and said that Staggs begged her not to report him to authorities.

Staggs has been charged with Sexual Abuse and Indecent Exposure on both charges.
