Forest Willard Morris, Jr., 73, of Iuka, Mississippi, died on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Tishomingo Community Living Center. Willard was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed going to services when he was able. From 1968 until 1970, Willard attended the Colombia Military Academy. As a teenager, he began working as a butcher, and over time, he became one of the most well-known meat-cutters in Tishomingo County. Outside of his butcher job, he was also a master carpenter. He loved woodworking and found joy in building things for his family and friends. He was also a talented cook and grilled the best burgers. Willard is survived by his children, Sabrina Austin (Chris) and John Morris (Melanie); his grandchildren, Renae Morris Barnes (Jack), Michelle Crum (Kylan), Justin Austin (Katie), Tyler Austin (Mary), and Brandon Austin; his great-grandchildren, Mackson Gobble, Oliver Austin, Jackson Ivey, and one on the way; his nieces, Amy Moore (the late Ed Moore) and Tammy Rone (Michael); and his nephew, Michael Jones (Renee). He was preceded in death by his parents, Dora and Forest W. Morris, Sr.; and his sister, Elizabeth Jones (Connie Ray). Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, officiated by Bro. Jamie Nanney. Memorials may be made in Willard’s honor to a local charity of donor’s choice.
