Floyd Kirby BowersFloyd Kirby Bowers, 94 of Harvest, passed away on Friday, June 21st, 2024, at Madison Hospital. Mr. Bowers was born on September 30th, 1929, in Alabama, to James William “Willie” Bowers and Maggie Ree Hargrove Bowers.

Mr. Bowers is survived by his wife Peggy Bowers; children Charles Steven “Steve” Bowers (Pam), Floyd Randall “Randy” Bowers (Martha Anita Kennemer Bowers), Nancy Shelton (Ricky), Janet Mason, Katherine “Kathy” Gentry (Roger), and Tommy Barkley (Paula); grandchildren Kressinda, Jessica, Clayton, Stefan, Juliana, Christy, Josh, Melissa, Brian, Patty, and Bo; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings John Bowers (Peggy) and Martha Bullington; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his 1st wife Dewayne Bowers; his parents Willie and Maggie Bowers; brothers Basil Bowers, Carl Bowers, Jim Bowers, and Bobby Bowers; and sisters Elsie Wynn, May Jamison, and Polly Moore.

Funeral services for Mr. Bowers will be Tuesday, June 25th, 2024, at 11:00am at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, with Phillip Hines, Paul Owens, and Steve Bowers officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00-10:45am at the funeral home. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Randy Bowers, Stefan Bowers, Josh Mason, Clayton Bowers, Brian Gentry, and Bo Barkley.

Mr. Bowers enjoyed wood working, watching the Atlanta Braves, Alabama Football, and all sports. He was a devout Godly man. He was skilled in all kinds of work.
