Obituary of Floyd Crum  Funeral Services to Celebrate the Life of Floyd Crum will be Friday February 24, 2023 at 3 pm at Hatchie Chapel Church with Bro. Gene Coltharp and Joe Duncan officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm- 3pm at the church. Burial will follow at Hatchie Chapel Church Cemetery.

Floyd Crum, 97, passed away on February 22, 2023 at Tippah County Hospital. He was born on June 15, 1925 to the late Norman and Roxy Crum. Floyd served as pastor of Hatchie Chapel Church for over 60 years, with he and his wife being some of the founding members of the congregation. Mr. Crum worked for the Alcorn County Superintendent’s Office for over 30 years until his retirement. Mr. Crum enjoyed collecting knives, being outdoors on his tractor, being around his family, and most of all serving his community.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Dean Crum; brothers, Leroy Crum, Marvin “Doc” Crum, Lester Crum, Daniel Crum; sisters, Earlene Miles, Alyene Crum, and Marie Cofield.

He is survived by his son Floyd J. Crum; his niece Jackie Crum; and great niece Courtney Crum Bayless.

Pallbearers include Glenn Miles, Hollis Mercer, Ronnie Mercer, Scott Mercer, Shane Bayless, and Wyatt Bayless.
