Flossie Casey Higgins departed this life on Friday, August 26, 2016, at the age of 84 years, 9 months, and 1 day. She was born in Savannah, Tennessee on November 25, 1931, the daughter of the late Flora Casey and Harrison Bailey.
Flossie had worked as a housekeeper for Pickwick State Park and was a member of the St. Mark Baptist Church.
She is survived by her children, Mary Johnson of Evansville, Indiana, Willie Frank Higgins, Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee, Ricky N. Flourney of San Diego, California, Larry D. Higgins of Savannah, Tennessee, Billy M. Higgins, Patricia Higgins, Deborah Higgins, Sammy Higgins, and Attilah Strickland all of Savannah, Tennessee, and Irene Strickland of Corinth, Mississippi; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-seven great-grandchildren; a great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents and husband, Willie F. Higgins, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Connie I. Higgins; brothers, Henry Casey, Logan Casey, William Porter, and Bobby Ross.
