BRILLIANT-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency report a single-vehicle accident on Wednesday, May 1 has taken the life of one person:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 8:50 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, has claimed the life of a Ft. Walton Beach, Fla. man.
Douglas T. Koenigsfeld, 65, was fatally injured when the 2014 Jeep Patriot he was driving left the roadway and overturned. Koenigsfeld was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The crash occurred on Interstate 22 near the 33 mile marker, approximately seven miles southeast of Brilliant, in Marion County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
