Florence Woman Stabbed; Suspect Arrested On Assault 2nd Degree

FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department issued a statement regarding a stabbing that took place on Saturday, April 3.  A Florence woman was stabbed and injuries were non-life threatening:

“On April 3, 2021, at approximately 10:21 AM, officers responded to North Alabama Medical Center to a report of a female who had been stabbed. 

According to the complainant she was stabbed by her ex-girlfriend, Datamera Barnett of Florence.  The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

Barnett was arrested and charged with Assault 2^nd Degree.  She is being held on a $30,000.00 Bond.”
