TUSCUMBIA-John Moseley’s hobby of playing, promoting and studying music will be put to good use as the new Curator of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. Former Curator Dick Cooper retired in September. A graduate of the University of North Alabama, John has a BA in Marketing. He has acquired valuable experience in Information Technology, Digital Communication and Visitor Center Resource Management at the Florence/Lauderdale Tourism Bureau. He has worked with the Alabama Department of Tourism to increase the annual participation of Florence area restaurants for Alabama Restaurant week. His research also was used for reporting economic impact statistics to the regional and state tourism offices.
Moseley is no stranger to working with the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. He has contributed his research, marketing, digital and Information Technology talents to numerous Hall of Fame projects. John was an invaluable part of the team for the 2014 Induction Banquet in the Shoals. Dixie Griffin, Manager of the Hall of Fame, is looking forward to utilizing John’s skills to build on the success of the Alabama Music Hall of Fame. “John’s blend of diverse experience will assist our team in making the Hall of Fame even better.”
In his spare time he volunteers for the Northwest Alabama B.E.S.T. Robotics program helping middle school and high school students develop marketing and presentation skills through an annual competition. He also plays the guitar and mandolin.
John will join the Alabama Music Hall of Fame team February 1st.
