FLORENCE-Florence will be welcoming two new restaurants in the near future.

Taziki’s Mediterranean Cafe, a Birmingham-based restaurant chain started in 1998, will be opening on Cox Creek Parkway in Florence.  Construction is currently underway for the Greek fast food restaurant and is expected to open this summer and Chef John Currence’s Big Bad Breakfast is coming to downtown Florence.  The ground floor of the Stricklin Building on North Court Street will be renovated to house the breakfast and lunch restaurant.  Chef Currence is no stranger to the area as he hosted his Big Bad Breakfast at Billy Reid’s Shindig last year.  The restaurant has locations in Oxford, Mississippi and Birmingham.
