Florence Quinn Hindman – Obituary

Florence Quinn Hindman went to be with her Lord on October 27, 2014 at the age of 94. She was born December 19, 1919 to Neita Pierce and Cordie Preston (C.P.) Quinn in Franklin County, Alabama. She married Wiley Swanson Hindman on October 30, 1935 and they were married 61 years prior to his death on September 3, 1996.

She is survived by her three children, Faye Hindman Guinn (Foy) of Hodges, Dan C. Hindman (Shirley), Russellville, and Joyce Hindman Baker (Jerry), Tuscumbia, eight grandchildren, Sharon Hindman Hester (Randy), Mark Baker, Celia Guinn Sylvester (Don), Terry Hindman Mann (Stan), Timothy Guinn (Sandy), Leah Baker Hyde, Neita Guinn Fanning (Aubrey) and Jeremy Baker, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her husband, her parents and her brothers, Artis Quinn, Alpha Quinn, Noble Quinn and Clifton Quinn and sisters, Mary Fannie Quinn, Ludie Quinn and Cassie Quinn.

The family will receive visitors at Pinkard Funeral Home, Highway 24, Russellville, Alabama on October 28th from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. The funeral service will follow immediately at the chapel. Bro. Lloyd Ray Griffus and Bro. Marty Guidry will be conducting the service with special music by her grandson, Mark. Interment will follow at Old Burleson Cemetery near Vina.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.

Special thanks are extended to the staff of Russellville Healthcare and Dr. Kevin Kelly who have taken such good care of our mother and grandmother. Words cannot express the appreciation we feel for the love you have shown over the years.

The person who can bring the spirit of laughter into a room is indeed blessed. Our mother and grandmother brought laughter to us all. We are the ones who are blessed to have had her in our lives.
