FLORENCE-On 06/21/2024 the Florence Police Department was contacted by the Lauderdale County Department of Human Resources (DHR). DHR informed Florence Police that they received an anonymous report that a Florence resident, Faulon Daniels, had given birth to a baby two months prematurely at home.

According to the report, Daniels was refusing to go to the hospital with the baby. Florence Police Investigators attempted to make contact with Daniels. When that was unsuccessful, investigators interviewed neighbors, family, and friends. Through
