News Florence Police …Getting The Job Done by Roger Murphy August 15, 2016 written by Roger Murphy August 15, 2016 0 comment 285 FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department had a very busy weekend with several arrests Just a few that are worth noting: Demetrius Brown was arrested and charged with several vehicle burglaries in the area of Prospect Street and Hermitage Drive. He was identified from surveillance video and witnesses in the area. Billy Chandler is charged in the August 4th Robbery of the Quickmart Shell Station at the intersection of Helton Drive and Cox Creek.Eddie Frank Chandler who was recently released after being convicted in the Murder of Chris Stanback, was arrested after a resident was awakened to find him inside of a vehicle. He was stopped by patrol officer a short distance away and arrested. Jason Olive was involved in a high speed chase 2 weeks ago that ended in a crash in the Target Parking lot. He was transported by MedFlight and was later released. His arrest and charges stem from that incident. Nicholas Sanders is accused of soliciting a 14 year old female last week for immoral purposes. He was located Friday afternoon and arrested after speaking with detectives.
