FLORENCE – The video was put on YouTube by Big Al’s Merchandise and that’s all it took.

“Daniel E. Baskins, 37, and Sandy K. Baskins, 37, both of Florence, surrendered to police yesterday following a viral video posted by a local merchant. On December 19, 2014,Big Al’s Merchandise and Apparel posted a video of an alleged theft on social media following the incident being reported to police. Within hours the video accumulated more than 38k views. Following the post tips began coming in to the business and police leading to warrants being issued against both suspects. The couple turned themselves into police late Tuesday at the Florence Police Department. Both were charged with Theft 3rd and posted bond a short time later.”
