FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department released a statement about a medical assit call they received on Wednesday, July 6:
“So that information is consistent; Our agency responded to a medical assist call in the 1900 block of Holiday Drive at 9pm last night. When officers arrived they found a 27 year old black male lying in the doorway of his home. The male, who is not being identified at this time, was unconscious and unable to provide details about his injury. He was subsequently flown to Huntsville Hospital where he was treated and released early this morning. At this time, detectives are seeking possible witnesses. If anyone has information about this assault they are asked to call Det. Keith Johnson at 256-760-6562.
