FLORENCE-The Florence Police Department made two arrests over the weekend of April 7. Both were theft cases in separate cases. The Department released this statement:
“Eric Whitson was arrested following a series of vehicle burglaries in the Downtown Florence area. His image was captured on video while committing

one of the burglaries. He was located by a patrol officer in the area of Cedar Street and led police on a short foot pursuit before being taken into custody without further incident. He is being held in the LCDC without bond. Whitson is a suspect in several additional thefts and charges in those cases are pending.

without incident and is being held in the LCDC with bail set at $4,500.00 US.”
