FLORENCE–The Florence Police Department issued a statement concerning the recovery of a stolen vehicle from Georgia on Friday, May 31:
“At 1250 this afternoon, Friday, May 31 Detectives with FPD received information of a stolen vehicle coming into our city.
The SUV, a white Jeep Cherokee, was located going north on Pine St and then turned onto College St going west. The Jeep turned onto Cedar St when Detective attempted to conduct a traffic stop. The SUV started backing up and hit a parked car that was next to Times Daily.
Detective and Patrol Officers were able to take all three occupants into custody without injuries. They are charged with Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Jordan Whitley was the driver of the SUV.
The Jeep was stolen from residence in Gwinnett County, GA.”
