Florence Police Arrest Suspect Charged With Domestic Violence And Assault Of A Police Officer

FLORENCE-Florence Police were called to a home in the 600 Block of South Orleans Street on April 13,
2024, at approximately 2:30 a.m. to a domestic violence incident.

When Officers arrived, James Limon of Florence was outside screaming, causing a disturbance. While being taken into
custody, Limon resisted officers. One officer was struck in the face and bit on the arm, breaking the skin.

Limon was arrested for Assault in the Second Degree, Domestic Violence in the Third Degree,
Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Arrest. He is confined in the Lauderdale County Detention
Center with an $8,000 bond.

The injured officer was taken to North Alabama Medical Center, where he received treatment
and was released.

James Limon is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
